TRYOUT INFORMATION

REGISTRATION

The Cutting Edge King Cobras will be hosting its tryouts as followed:

MARCH 24th
Mite: 4:30 - 5:30pm
10U: 5:45 - 6:45pm
12U Group 1: 7:00 - 8:00pm
12U Group 2: 8:15 - 9:15pm
(You will be notified which group to attend)
 
March 25th
Mite: 4:30 - 5:30pm
10U: 5:45 - 6:45pm
12U Group 1: 7:00 - 8:00pm
12U Group 2: 8:15 - 9:15pm
(You will be notified which group to attend)

Mite: 4:30 - 5:30pm
10U: 5:45 - 6:45pm
12U: 7:00 to 8:00

APRIL 14TH
14U Group 1: 5:00 - 6:00pm
14U Group 2: 6:15 - 7:15pm
(You will be notified which Group to Attend)
16U: 7:30 - 8:30pm
18U: 8:45 - 9:45pm

APRIL 15TH & 16TH
All Bantams: 6:00 - 7:00pm
16U: 7:15 - 8:15pm
18U: 8:30 - 9:30pm

Registration & Fees
 
Mites, Squirts, Peewees - Sign-up Before March 1st: $100.00 / After March 1st: $200.00
Bantams, 16U & 18U - Sign-up Before April 1st: $100.00 / After April 1st: $200.00

  • All participants must register online via TeamSnap, walk-in registrations will NOT be accepted.
  • Tryout fees are NON-refundable.
  • Players who have signed with another ice hockey organization may not participate in tryouts.

Tryout Process
​
The King Cobras will be fielding teams at the following levels in the 2024-2025 season. Exact number of teams will be based on tryout numbers:
  • Mites (2017 & Younger)
  • Squirts (2015 - 2016)
  • Peewees (2013 - 2014)
  • Bantams (2011 - 2012)
  • 16U (2009 - 2010)
  • 18U (2007 - 2008)
Tryouts will be conducted at
Cutting Edge Ice Academy
(71 Midland Ave, Elmwood Park, NJ)
Please use the main, front entrance to be
checked-in with the Cutting Edge Staff

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

TEAMS

Exact number of teams for the 2025-26 season will depend on tryout participation but we expect:

  • Mites (2-3)

  • Squirts

  • Peewee (1-2)

  • Bantam (1-2)

  • 16U (A & AA)

  • 18U AA

COMPETITION

  • League members in the New Jersey Youth Hockey League (NJYHL) for the 2025-26 season.

  • Member of the Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association (AAHA) with Tier II classification

  • Generally entered in 3-4 high-competition tournaments per season

The King Cobras are directly associated with Cutting Edge Ice Academy giving ample opportunities for teams to practice and for individuals to participate in Cutting Edge clinics at a discounted rate.
